Don Ressler has founded a number of companies during his career. His first startup was in the 1990’s when he founded FitnessHeaven.com. This was an online website dedicated to exercise and healthy eating. His company was acquired in 2001 by Intermix Media and he was hired by the company as well to continue running the site. While at Intermix Media, Don Ressler met Adam Goldenberg, another young entrepreneur. They have gone on to become very successful business partners in the world of fashion.
While still at Intermix Media, Don and Adam had worked together to create Alena Media. This turned into the only source of profit at the company, earning hundreds of millions of dollar. When New Corp acquired Intermix Media in 2005 they neglected Alena Media and let it languish. Don and Adam decided to leave the company and instead found their own business.
The first company that Don Ressler and Adam founded was Intelligent Beauty, an online personal care, beauty, and fashion retailer for women. According to apparelnews.net, building on the success of this company, they also founded Dermstore which is an online makeup and skincare company.
In 2010, Adam Goldenberg and Don Ressler launched JustFab, an online clothing retailer that has been met with stunning success. The website uses a membership model where customers pay a monthly fee in order to receive shipments of clothing. The clothing is personalized to their fashion sensibilities as when a member signs up they fill out a survey that determines what kind of fashion they enjoy. The clothing that JustFab offers is high quality, fashionable, and very affordable.
JustFab was renamed as TechStyle Fashion Group in the middle of 2016. The reason for the name change is that it is both a data-driven technology company and brand launcher as well as a fashion industry company on Zimbio. Don Ressler commented about the change and said that he felt it was important for both sides of the company to be reflected in its name.
As Co-Chief Executive Officer of TechStyle Fashion Group, Don Ressler is also in charge of the company’s various subsidiaries. These include ShoeDazzle, FabKids, and the recently launched Fabletics at https://pando.com/2014/08/28/breaking-justfab-raises-85m-at-what-sources-say-is-a-1b-valuation/. Fabletics, in particular, has been hugely successful under his leadership, taking the world of fashionable women’s activewear by storm. The company has expanded internationally into European markets. It is also opening brick and mortar retail stores in the United States in order to reach more customers.
