Rodrigo Terpins Notional Rally Car Legend and Advocate for Sustainable Development

Rodrigo Terpins comes from a long line of famous athletes. His brother, Michel Terpins, and father, Jack Terpins have both been involved in high profile sports comprising both rally car drivers and successful basketball players. His father, Jack Terpins, played basketball in the 1960’s and 1970’s for Hebracia. From an early age, he championed the interests of young people who participated in the sport, eventually becoming recognized as a community leader in the industry.

 

Growing up in a family environment where sports were not simply an event for entertainment, but a serious career option; Rodrigo was continually inspired by the achievements of his father and brother in each of their respective sporting careers. Over time, Rodrigo has become a household name in many parts of Brazil; racing alongside his highly experienced brother for the Tea Bull Sertoes Rally Team. Rodrigo has won the T1 prototype category on numerous occasions finishing third in the 22nd Sertoes Rally and ranking 8th place out of 38 participants in the overall competition. As an entrepreneur, Rodrigo Terpins has demonstrated a passion for the environment and sustainable development. In 2008, he formed his own company, T5 Participacoes, which stands at the forefront of organizing some of the most recognized events in rally car industry. Keeping true to his inner self, Rodrigo is focusing on his most recent brainchild, Floresvale. As he stated in an interview published in 2018 through ideamensch, “Floresvale was created from the idea and will of having a business involving environment and sustainability…..my partners and I wanted to have an ethically driven business that helped the environment and, at the same time, increased the supply by certified wood.”

 

Rodrigo Terpins studied at the University of Sail Hilaire applying the business skills he acquired there during his 16 year tenure at Lojas Marisa. During his tenure, he eventually rose to the position of president until relinquishing the position in 2007 to focus his entrepreneurial endeavors on building his company T5 Participacoes. Furthermore, he is spending more time growing Floresvale, implementing sustainable development strategies in his home country of Brazil.
