OSI Group is Setting Industry-Leading Trends in the Food Industry

OSI Group is a prestigious American food processing business. It specializes in value addition, production of customized food products, and supply chain management.

OSI group was founded by a German immigrant and has been in business for the last five decades. The company operates out of Aurora, Illinois. It has branches in the United Kingdom, the United States, China, the Pacific, and North America.

OSI Group receives the Global of Honor Award

In November 2016, OSI Group UK won the great Global of Honor Award. This company was among the eighteen organizations recognized for their efforts in environmental management. The British Safety Council Environmental Audit Scheme vetted all the winning companies for eleven months. Lynda Armstrong, the chairperson of the British Safety Council, congratulated OSI Group for winning the award. She also acknowledged OSI Group for being on the forefront of employing integrated approaches in adopting environmental protection protocols. The award was issued to the company’s environmental manager, Kelly Grimwood. OSI Group has received this award for the three times in a row since 2013.

OSI Group acquires Baho Foods

OSI Group bought Baho Foods in 2016. This purchase was meant to expand OSI’s business operations in Europe. Based on the company’s chief operating officer David McDonald, Baho Food’s brands and products are in line with OSI Group’s processing capabilities. His statement also revealed that OSI is willing to broaden its production’s scope to capture a wider clientele. Baho Foods is the parent company to Q Smart Life, Henri van de Bilt, Vital Convenience, Bakx Foods, and Gelderland Frischwaren. Based on the terms of the purchase, all Baho’s employees will continue to work in their respective positions but under the management of OSI Group. John Balver’s, Baho Foods managing director expressed his excitement of becoming part of OSI Group and promised to work with OSI Group’s executives in growing the business.
