Stout hails from Richardson, Texas. Stout attended J.J Pearce H.S for his education, and it is here that he began showing that he can be a leader. Stout due to his excellent leadership skills and qualities was elected as a student representative in sports as well as in the classroom. Stout advanced his education by attending the University of Dallas where he graduated with a degree in psychology. Stout also holds a business degree which he acquired from Panola. Stout has continued making headlines in media where he has been featured a couple of times on matters related to sport, and in 2007 the Dallas child magazine featured Stout in an article that highlighted his coaching tips to young baseball coaches.
