Sheldon Lavin currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of OSI Group. Sheldon has been in the meat supply industry for the past 43 years. In the 1970s, Mr. Lavin became actively involved with OSI Group when the company was looking for financing to construct a meat processing facility expand the meat products they provided to McDonald’s. Since then, Sheldon Lavin has managed to transform OSI Group it to a worldwide product food supplier operational in 17 countries with over 80 facilities and 20,000 employees.

Sheldon Lavin Career Background

Sheldon Lavin kick-started his career at OSI Group as a consultant. In 1975, he became a partner of the company and expanded their operations into Asia, South America, and Europe. In fact, in the early 1980s, Sheldon Lavin purchased a controlling interest and took over OSI Group. Sheldon has also developed the unique culture of OSI Group where employees are treated as a global family. As a result, the company has minimal staff turnover as most employees work for the company for years. Sheldon previously worked in the financial and banking services sector.

Sheldon Lavin is an active contributor to several charities, a proof of his philanthropy.
